Policies & Client Agreement
Please read through our policies carefully. These guidelines help us maintain a safe, structured, and professional environment for every dog in our care.
1. Reservation Changes
Changes to reservation dates or services are subject to availability and must be made in advance. For boarding and daycare, changes must be requested at least 24 hours ahead. If less than 24 hours’ notice is given, no refund will be provided.
2. Cancellations
For non-holiday and non-peak reservations, cancellations must be made at least 7 days before the reserved arrival date. Late cancellations or no-shows may result in charges equal to a two-night stay.
For holiday and peak reservations, cancellations must be made at least 15 days before the reserved arrival date. Cancellations made within 15 days, or no-shows, are non-refundable.
Refunds are not provided. Eligible canceled amounts remain as account credit for future services.
3. Holiday & Peak Charges
Holiday surcharges apply to overnight boarding stays and daycare appointments during statutory holidays and long weekends. These fees reflect increased demand and operating costs.
4. No-Shows
Failure to attend a scheduled reservation without notice may result in forfeiture of fees paid and additional charges. No refunds or store credit are issued for no-shows.
5. Drop-Off & Pick-Up
Late pick-up fees are charged at $10 per 15 minutes, up to the cost of one overnight stay.
Half-Day Daycare includes a 15-minute grace period. If your dog stays beyond that window, you may be charged for a Full Day unless you choose to pay the late fee.
Hours:
Monday – Saturday: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Sunday: Closed
6. Exceptions

8. Spayed or Neutered Policy
Dogs older than 8 months must be spayed or neutered to participate in group play. Dogs showing persistent marking, humping, or aggression may not be permitted in group settings.
9. Food & Snacks
All food and snacks must be provided or approved by the owner. Please send enough food for your dog’s full stay, plus extra in case of emergency.
Items should be clearly labeled and packed in plastic or zip-lock bags for easy storage. We recommend trying new foods or treats at home first to avoid digestive issues.
10. Leashes & Collars
For safety reasons, shock collars, metallic leashes, and retractable leashes are not permitted.
Dante’s Boarding is not responsible for damaged, ripped, or torn collars and leashes.
11. Beds & Blankets
We do not accept beds or blankets from home. At Dante’s Boarding, we provide all bedding and comfort items for your dog during their stay to ensure a clean, safe, and consistent environment for all guests. Our items are regularly cleaned and sanitized to maintain the highest hygiene standards.
We do not accept toys, as they may trigger territorial behavior. If your dog requires an XL bed, please let us know in advance.
12. Pet Health & Behaviour
Dogs must arrive healthy and free from coughing, sneezing, vomiting, or diarrhea for at least 48 hours. Dogs treated for contagious illness must wait at least 2 weeks before returning.
We reserve the right to decline service if a pet appears unwell, injured, or unsafe for group care. Dante’s Boarding staff are not veterinarians and cannot diagnose illness.
Owners accept full responsibility for any damages or injury caused by their pet to animals, people, or property while in our care.
13. Medications
We only administer medication prescribed by a veterinarian. Owners must provide veterinary proof including medication name and instructions before the booking is accepted.
Additional medication fees apply for dogs needing daily medication due to increased care requirements.
14. Flea & Tick Policy
If fleas or ticks are discovered during check-in or during your dog’s stay, Dante’s Boarding may provide a flea bath and/or spot treatment at the owner’s expense.
15. Veterinary Care
If your pet becomes ill or injured, Dante’s Boarding may seek veterinary treatment and transportation when necessary. All related expenses are the responsibility of the owner.
By using our services, you authorize us to make urgent care decisions when needed for your pet’s wellbeing.
16. Daycare Stays
Dante’s Boarding is a cage-free facility. During group play, dogs may interact physically, which can occasionally result in minor nicks or scratches. While we supervise closely, minor injuries may not always be noticed before departure.
17. Aggressive Behaviour
Aggressive dogs are not permitted in our services. If a dog displays aggression or unsafe behavior, measures may be taken to protect other dogs and people.
Dante’s Boarding may use tools such as squirt bottles and, in severe cases, muzzles for safety management.
18. Abandonment
If a pet is not picked up within 5 calendar days after the scheduled departure date, the pet may be considered abandoned. Dante’s Boarding may arrange rehoming or transfer to a legal shelter.
Owners remain responsible for all charges and may lose the right to reclaim the pet.
19. Identification
Dante’s Boarding may retain a copy of the owner’s identification for security and verification purposes. Owners remain responsible for issues arising during their dog’s stay, including unpaid balances.
20. Personal Belongings
Dante’s Boarding is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property belonging to the dog or owner. For safety reasons, collars may be removed while dogs are in play areas.
21. Disclosure of Information
Owners must fully disclose medical conditions, behavioral concerns, and any relevant traits that may affect their dog’s participation in daycare or boarding. This helps us provide safe and appropriate care.
22. Sole Agreement
This policy and agreement represents the complete understanding between Dante’s Boarding and the Owner/Guardian regarding services provided.
23. Liability
The owner understands and agrees that Dante’s Boarding is not liable for loss, disease, death, absconding, theft, fire, injury, or any consequential damages involving the pet, persons, animals, or property connected with services provided.
24. Owner Acknowledgement
By booking services, the Owner/Guardian confirms they have read, understood, and agreed to these terms. Any breach of these policies may be treated as a breach of contract.
